So, as you must have read in the title, the topic that I’m addressing today is one of the major problems in India. A country which we all know is famous for its culture, where people worship and follow the principles of their religion, wholeheartedly. And where, women have been given the status of Goddess Lakshmi<\/strong>. <\/em>Despite that fact, you will be startled to know that rape<\/em> is the fourth most common crime against women in India. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB<\/strong>) 2013 annual report, 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012. Isn\u2019t that alarming!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this\nera, when women comprise 48% of the country’s population and when men and women\nwork shoulder to shoulder in every field, whether it is politics, banks, schools,\nsports, defense sector, business, and many more, equality is still not achieved\nwhen it comes to their safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of steps have been taken by the government to ensure women’s safety, pink autos, pink buses, and women helplines. But these are not enough. Most of the schools in India do not provide proper sex education, which is one of the major reasons for rapes. The government should make sure that every school gives proper knowledge, about the human body, to every child. Most of the schools in Greater Noida<\/a> are adopting sincere sex education for their students. It is crucial for the institutions to teach the importance of gender equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, children in rural areas don’t get the chance to go to schools, so the government should organize some workshops or classes for them, to educate them about the human body. Keeping women of our nation safe is a job assigned, not just of the government, but also to us.
